
Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin’s faith-based film “Ruth & Boaz” is now streaming on Netflix. This is the first project as part of Perry and Franklin’s partnership with the streamer to produce faith-based films under a multi-year, multi-picture, first-look deal.
Written by Mike Elliott and Cory Tynan and produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin, “Ruth & Boaz” stars Serayah, Tyler Lepley, Phylicia Rashad, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Jermaine Dupri. The film is a modern-day retelling of the story of Ruth and Boaz, an iconic Biblical love story. Set in Tennessee, the film follows a young woman who escapes the Atlanta music scene to care for an elderly widowed woman, only to find the love of her life and gain the mother she never had.
